Coconut Macaroons


Ingredients:

12oz bag of coconut 

1 cup of sweetened condensed milk 

1 tsp of vanilla 

2 large egg whites 

pinch of salt 

1 ½ cups of chocolate chips 



Directions: (see video below)

Step 1- Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees.

Step 2- Mix together coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla.

Step 3- In a separate medium sized bowl, whisk egg whites and salt until stiff peaks form. 

Step 4- Fold egg whites into the coconut mixture.

Step 5- Form 1 inches sized balls on a greased pan.

Step 6- Put in the oven for 24 minutes. Turn the pan at 12 minutes. 

Step 7- Take them out when golden.

Step 8- Put chocolate chips in a bowl. Microwave it for 30 seconds. Take them out and mix the chocolate chips. Put it in the microwave for another 30 seconds. Repeat until smooth. 

Step 9- Dip the bottoms of the balls in melted chocolate. 

Step 10- Refrigerate balls for 15 minutes then enjoy!
